# Intro

In this guide our subject is The Climb.

There is a total of 5 distinct layouts for this area. Each of the layouts can be recognized almost immediately first by looking at the orientation of the entrance, and then the depending on the orientation reading few other simple clues. In general this area doesn't cause much backtracking or time lost, but recognizing the layout will save you potentially up to half a minute of travelling.

# Orientations

Shown below are the two different starting orientations for this area: ClimbOri ClimbOri

  • Left orientation has a total of 2 layouts
  • Right orientation has a total of 3 layouts

# Left

The layouts in the Left orientation we refer to as:

  • LeftRight
  • LeftLeft

# LeftRight

LeftRight is named based on entrance pushing you to the left, and exit being to the right of the entrance. ClimbLeftRight

  • You can tell the layout by looking at the little corner/ledge circled with red dotted line.
    • From here you just go North-East. You usually save time by travelling through the middle instead of hugging a wall.

# LeftLeft

LeftLeft is named just like the LeftRight. Prefix indicates starting orientation, suffix is the direction to take for exit. ClimbLeftLeft

  • You can tell the layout by looking at the same little piece of ledge as in the previous layout, however this time it's rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise.
    • From here you just keep hugging the wall to the West.

The layouts in right layout are:

  • Loop
  • RightRight
  • RightUp

# Loop

Loop is named based on the pathing making a half-circle, or looping around the middle. ClimbLoop

# RightRight

RightRight is named based on the start orientation being Right and exit to the East of the start. ClimbRightRight ClimbRightRight

  • You start RightRight much you would start Loop.
    • If you see the waypoint in the place shown in the first image, you know it's RightRight instance and you don't have to double check if the area starts opening directly South like you would in Loop layout.
    • In the second image the waypoint is in a spot that could indicate a Loop layout, so you have to confirm it doesn't continue to that layout. Once you see the wall blocking your path directly South, you can start heading East.

# RightUp

ClimbRightUp

  • You start the RightUp layout just like the other two, and have to follow the same way clearing it like it was a Loop. Once you get blocked by the near waypoint, not allowing you to go either South or East, you know just keep hugging the wall to North-East for the exit.
